Dayton-Phoenix Expands Business Focus to Include Remanufacturing of Rotating Electrical Products
08-01-08
Currently the OEM for a broad range of locomotive and freight transit product lines, Dayton-Phoenix Group is a “natural fit” for the addition of rotating electrical product remanufacturing as an important new part of its business focus, according to DPG Director of Sales, Steve Schonert.
“We are by no means new to the repair business,” Schonert says. “In fact, we’ve been remanufacturing HVAC systems for the better part of 10 years. By coupling our knowledge and current HVAC service networks with our nearly 40 years of OEM experience and knowledge, we are well-positioned to succeed in this important service network expansion.”
Dayton-Phoenix already owns and operates three service shops (Houston, TX, Roseville, CA, Lee Summit, MO), and plans to deploy these facilities as part of one of the highest quality Rotating Electrical Equipment repair operations in the industry.
“We’ll be known by customers for fair prices and quick turnarounds from our strategic locations around the country,” Schonert adds. “We feel we’re able to better repair the product because we already make it new, so we know what changes or revisions have occurred on these products throughout the years.”
DPG provides a full staff of Engineers and Quality professionals to assist in this new repair business. The company offers a two-year warranty on its remanufactured equipment product line, and keeps many cores in stock to help cut lead times.
