This week at MxV Rail, we’re demonstrating VOLT actively powering a locomotive — proving that hybridization of existing diesel assets can be done with minimal modification and real-world ROI.

VOLT was designed with one goal in mind: take locomotives as they are today and give operators a practical path to fuel savings, emissions reduction, and improved operational flexibility without waiting for a full fleet replacement.

Seeing it operate in a live rail environment is a major milestone for our team and a moment that reflects countless hours of collaboration, problem-solving, and belief that there was a better way forward. This is just the beginning.
